“Day of Logistics” – Schäflein makes it possible

As part of the nationwide “Day of Logistics” on 19 April 2018, Schäflein issued an invitation to an “Applicant Day” at the Multi-User Logistics Centre in Schwebheim. The motto “Show us what you can do. We’ll show you what we can do and you’ll get to know the ‘Team & Technology’ directly” was followed by about 50 warehouse staff, professional drivers and potential applicants. So Corinna Werner’s HR team had their hands full. “On the Applicant Day anyone interested had the opportunity to get to know the background conditions and the environment in person. The dialogue between potential applicants, managers and staff takes place without any written applications,” details Corinna Werner, Head of Staff Development and Recruitment at Schäflein. “If everything fits, the applicants then go home directly with a contract of employment in their pockets.”

Successful concept

The “Applicant Day” concept has proved convincing to companies and potential applicants beyond the location in Mainfranken. The “Applicant Day” has also met with great interest at other Schäflein locations, including in Schwerte (NRW, Dortmund) and Empfingen (Ba.-Wü., Stuttgart).
