Logistics partner Schäflein has been responsible for production supply, container management and finished goods logistics for the Bosch Rexroth AG plant in Horb am Neckar since 2013. The two companies have now decided to extend their collaboration for a further four years until September 2023.

Bosch Rexroth develops and produces axial piston machines and pumps for drive technology in Horb. Schäflein bundles the components required for this at its logistics centres in Empfingen and Ergenzingen, which are located in the immediate vicinity of the plant. They are stored there on 10,000 and 5,000 square metres respectively until they are picked on call and brought to the machine manufacturer’s plant just in sequence by shuttle transport.
In addition to supplying production, the experienced logistics partner also handles finished goods logistics, shuttle transport between the individual logistics locations and the plant as well as the management of the reusable containers used to transport components. These are professionally cleaned in a 5,000 square metre depot in Horb. They are then returned to the suppliers as customised packaging sets.
