Two new managing directors for Schäflein

With Sebastian Paliege and Thorsten Schmied, Schäflein AG has appointed two long-standing employees to the management board with retroactive effect from 1 January 2020. Sebastian Paliege joins the management of Schäflein Logistics GmbH and Schäflein Industrieservice GmbH. Thorsten Schmied has been appointed as a member of the management of Schäflein Spedition GmbH.

Industrial engineering graduate Sebastian Paliege joined the company in 2007 in the e-commerce and controlling department and continued his career in the project management team in 2009. Since 2011, he has been responsible for the locations in the Mainfranken region as Regional Manager Centre. At the same time, Paliege took over the operational management of Schäflein Logistics and was granted power of attorney for the company. In 2013, he was also appointed operational manager of Schäflein Industrieservice. As Managing Director of Schäflein Logistics GmbH and Schäflein Industrieservice GmbH, he is responsible for all warehouse logistics activities of the Schäflein Group.

After studying industrial engineering, Thorsten Schmied began his career in logistics at GLS. In 2008, he joined the Schäflein Group as transport manager and continued his work as national forwarding manager. From 2012 to 2016, he was responsible for the sales activities of Schäflein Spedition as Sales Manager. In October 2016, he took over the management of the branch at the main site in Röthlein and was granted power of attorney. As Managing Director of Schäflein Spedition, he is responsible for the national and international transport activities of the Schäflein Group.
