Schäflein Truck Service GmbH is further expanding its service portfolio and adding a strategic fleet outsourcing solution to its established range of services for commercial vehicles. In addition to technical support, the company is now also taking over personnel management and the provision of transport services for industrial and commercial companies.
Schäflein Truck Service already has its own fleet of 150 vehicles, which has been built up in recent years and is in permanent use for a wide range of customers and industries. ‘We have decades of experience in vehicle technology and are increasingly receiving requests to provide drivers as well. We have recognised this need and expanded our range of services in a targeted manner,’ explains Andreas Weinfurtner, Managing Director of Schäflein Truck Service GmbH.
Over 50 years of experience as an IVECO authorised partner
Schäflein Truck Service in Schweinfurt has been an IVECO authorised partner for light and heavy commercial vehicles, buses, municipal vehicles and military vehicles for over five decades. The company also specialises in all other makes, trailers and semi-trailers and offers a comprehensive range of repairs, maintenance and services.
Fleet outsourcing – efficiency gains for companies
The newly created business segment covers fleets of all sizes – from single lorries to fleets of over 20 vehicles. In addition to classic haulage vehicles, Schäflein also offers solutions for special vehicles, including crane trucks, construction site vehicles and refrigerated transporters. Companies now have the option of outsourcing their entire transport logistics, including personnel, to Schäflein Truck Service. ‘We see ourselves as a strategic partner for companies that want to organise their fleet more efficiently and benefit from our technical and operational expertise,’ says Weinfurtner.
Industry solutions for specialised transport requirements
Schäflein Truck Service is focussing on specific industry requirements with its new offering:
Expansion and strategic growth
So far, the company has focussed primarily on customers in Mainfranken, but sees potential for expansion throughout Germany. Schäflein Truck Service already has branches in North Rhine-Westphalia, Berlin and Baden-Württemberg. The long-term goal is to further develop existing locations and open up additional regions.
‘Our approach is clear: we do not compete with traditional haulage companies, but act as a subcontractor that takes on specialised transport tasks. We see potential for growth, particularly in special vehicles and construction site transport,’ says Weinfurtner.
Holistic driver support as a success factor
A key component of the new business model is not only the provision of vehicles, but also the targeted support and integration of drivers. Schäflein Truck Service has set up a specialised team for this purpose, which takes care of the recruitment, training and long-term retention of drivers.
Many drivers come from abroad and move to Germany for their job. The company actively supports them in
‘Our aim is not only to attract reliable drivers, but also to retain them at our company in the long term. This is not only an economic success factor, but also a social one,’ emphasises Weinfurtner.
