Schäflein commercial vehicle workshop celebrates new opening in Röthlein

After almost 50 years at the Schwebheim site, the Schäflein commercial vehicle workshop moved to the Röthlein industrial estate at the beginning of July. The Schäflein Group invested around 3.5 million euros in the new premises of its subsidiary.

Compared to the previous location, the site in Röthlein offers more capacity for the growing workshop operations. On an area of around 30,000 square metres, there is a modern workshop building, a truck wash and the company’s own petrol station. The company is also increasing its workforce. In the medium term, Managing Director Andreas Weinfurtner is planning to create at least seven new jobs in order to expand the team to a total of 19 employees.

“We are delighted to have the opportunity to grow further at the new location and to be available to our customers with an even larger portfolio,” says Weinfurtner.

New location, new company name

Previously known as Schäflein Nutzfahrzeug-Service GmbH, the IVECO authorised workshop has been offering its services under the name Schäflein Truck Service GmbH since the move. However, the workshop does not only repair and maintain vehicles from the Italian manufacturer. The range of services also includes trucks and vans from other brands, accessories such as trailers and semi-trailers as well as buses and coaches.

In February 2020, the Schäflein Group secured the 30,000 square metre site directly adjacent to the Group’s headquarters in the Röthlein industrial estate for its commercial vehicle workshop. While the entire area of the site is currently still being used by Schäflein Truck Service GmbH, Schäflein AG is already planning to build a new logistics hall on an area of around 15,000 square metres.
