Frankfurt am Main, 27 March 2019 – For the third time since 2010 and 2016, the Schwelm-based transport and logistics service provider Schmidt-Gevelsberg has received the “CargoLine Partner of the Year” award. Schäflein Spedition from Röthlein secured second place, making it one of the top 3 for the first time. Third place went to Hartmann International from Paderborn.
Internationally on the upswing
With second place, Schäflein has made it onto the winners’ podium for the first time. The transport and logistics service provider owes this above all to a significant increase in its international consignment volume. In addition, owner Bernd Schäflein’s work as head of the contract logistics and innovation working groups is paying off.
“High transport company prices, a shortage of skilled labour, a weak transport infrastructure, considerable volume volatility – we are proud that our partners did an outstanding job in 2018 despite these and other challenges. They are not only concerned with securing their own business, but also with the stability of our network, as demonstrated by their commitment to the committees of our association. This close cohesion characterises us as a cooperation,” says Struck.
Measurable criteria
To determine the “Partner of the Year”, CargoLine annually evaluates performance such as the delivery rate in the specified quality and time, the percentage increase in the number of shipments compared to the same period in the previous year, as well as participation in working groups and decision-making bodies of the cooperation. The award ceremony took place during the franchisee general meeting on 20 March in Bad Homburg.
